Please take a moment to read the attached copy of the Memorandum University of Texas Memo that Chancellor, Admiral William McRaven, US NAVY [Ret.], recently sent to his Administrators and Athletic Directors and Coaches regarding respect for our flag and national anthem.  Of course, the First Amendment to the Constitution of the United States is part of what the flag represents and the flag may from time to time be used in the exercise of the Freedom of Speech protected thereby.  If it is possible to continue making improvements and extending all rights to all citizens of our nation, then we should get about the efforts necessary to make that happen rather than imply that everyone should be total conformists wearing muzzles just because the flag is involved.
