On February 27, 2016, VA will host a “Stand Down #2: Road
to MyAccess” event at all VA Medical Centers. The immediate goal of the event
is to connect with Veterans who have urgent health care needs, address their
needs and reduce the number of Veterans waiting greater than 30-days for urgent
care. VA’s ability to improve access to
care and improve the Veterans’ experience is tied directly to how we meet the
urgent health needs of our Veterans. This remains a priority for VA and the
nation. As long as there is even a single Veteran with an urgent care need that
we are not meeting in a timely fashion, we will not be satisfied. On Saturday, February 27, in addition to
regularly scheduled Saturday clinics for Primary Care and Behavioral Health,
open from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., Crescenz VAMC will also open Optometry and
Orthopedics clinics.
